Terms
Last updated October 20, 2026
These terms are between you and me, Cohen Coolidge. They cover buying and using the apps I sell: Ember, Lumen, Berth, Pivot, Unboxed, Utter and the Spiral Collection. When you buy or use one, you agree to them.
Your license
- A purchase gives you a personal license to use that app. You don't buy the app itself or its code.
- One key works on up to 3 Macs that you own or use.
- Please don't share, resell or publish your key. A key that is shared publicly may be turned off.
- One-time purchases are paid once, with no renewal.
- Yearly plans (Pivot) renew every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time with the "Manage or cancel" link, and the app keeps working until the end of the year you paid for.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. For most purchases, Stripe's Managed Payments service (shown as "Sold through Link" at checkout) is the merchant of record. That means Stripe sells the license to you on my behalf, charges any sales tax or VAT, and handles payment questions. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment. I never see or store your card details. Until the Spiral Collection moves to Stripe, its purchases go through Whop under Whop's terms.
Refunds
If an app doesn't work for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of buying it and I'll refund it in full. After 14 days, write anyway and I'll do what's fair. When a purchase is refunded or charged back, its license key is turned off, and the app stops accepting it at its next online check.
The software
The apps are provided as they are. I can't promise they'll be free of bugs or fit every use. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect losses or for more than you paid for the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Changes
If these terms change, I'll update this page and the date at the top. The terms in place when you bought an app apply to that purchase.
